Some may want to keep their Spitfires & GT6s bone-stock, and that’s great. I kept all of my First 3 that way. Now, on my 4th Spitfire, I’m enjoying multiple safety upgrades. spitfireupgrades.wixsite.com/spitfire-upgrades
I have been backed into twice due to not being seen, and know that visibility of such small cars in a world of SUVs is an individual choice. I chose to think outside the British car box and offer some good safety kits that ought to attract the eyes of other Spitfire and GT6 owners.
Being vulnerable to being struck by a car when you have to pull over on the shoulder is real. Thank you to those who have already recognized the importance of our safety kits. Please post a photo of the flashing LED Hazard LED kit attached to the under-side of your GT6 hatch, Spitfire boot lid or bonnet for others to see.
Earlier today I posted 3 pics of the super bright cob LED work lights on the under-side of our Shop Spitfire’s bonnet. Tomorrow I will install & photograph the same kit, installed on the upholstered panel of our boot lid.
These will give you every advantage of seeing in the dark plus allow on-coming traffic to see you earlier if you are on the shoulder. The LED lights in our shop Spitfire’s bonnet are literally the difference between night & day when compared to the dim factory boot light.
These light up both sides of the boot, each with 12 inch bright white LEDs. Great for the rear cargo area of GT6s too (-OR- MGB boots, Midget boots, Austin Healey 3000 boots, bonnets, etc.).
Just imagine having to hold a flashlight while diagnosing what just caused your engine to die on the roadside in the dark, then see the attached photos. Every kit comes with the two lights, ample wire length, shrink tubing butt connectors with solder in them, and 4 shrink tubings,
